Inspiration

My primary photographic interests are portraiture and street photography.

Below are a few of the artists in those genres whose work I study and appreciate.

Current Photographers I Follow

Lindsay Adler

The Queen of studio lighting and a supreme educator.

There's nothing this woman can't do with light.

John Batdorff

Based in Chicago, John is an awesome photographer, author, educator and all around nice guy.

I've travelled to Chicago to attend his workshops, and have not been disappointed.

Roman Fox

Roman Fox is a London, UK-based photographer and YouTube educator. He creates extremely good Point of View videos from his travels around London.

Recently Roman has branched out and travels Europe for his photography.

Roman uses Fuji gear, and as such, has produced a lot of very helpful Fuji camera and lens how-to videos on his YouTube site.

Omar Gonzalez

Probably my favourite YouTube photographer and educator.

Omar has a refreshing, jovial, self-deprecating and friendly approach to his photography and instructional videos.

Again, another pro photographer who uses Fuji gear, so it's always interesting to check out his latest Fuji-based videos.

Nathan Elson

A Canadian (YAH!) based in Calgary, Nathan is a highly successful portrait photographer and YouTube educator.

His images are very dramatic... and he's a fellow Strobepro user!
